Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1.5# - Beef Stew Meat
  • 1 or 2 - Sweet Onions
  • 7 cloves - Garlic
  • Carrots
  • Potatoes
  • 1 can - Green Beans
  • 1.5 Tablespoons - Tomato Paste
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 box - Beef Broth
  • 3 Tablespoons - Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 cups - Water
  • 2 Teaspoons - Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon - Pepper
  • 1.5 Teaspoons - Sugar
  • Olive Oil to coat the pot
  • Optional:
  • 2 cups of Dry Red Wine can sub for half a box of the Beef Broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon - Thyme

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef in the Olive Oil with the Salt and Pepper

  2. Add in the chopped Onions, Garlic and Balsamic Vinegar for 5 mins

  3. Add Tomato Paste for 1 min

  4. Add Flour and stir until it’s dissolved for 2 mins

  5. Add all liquids, sugar and any of the optional ingredients

  6. Bring to a boil for a few mins then put on low for 2 hours

  7. Add chopped Carrots, Potatoes and the Green Beans for 1 hour
